Welcome to the mind of a gamer

Would you be surprised if I told you that I was recently shopping for cheap road bikes instead of a new gaming console? As you can see from my latest update on the sidebar of the page, I have not been able to do as much gaming as I am accustomed to. You never really realize just how much time you spend gaming until your gaming system craps out on you and you can no longer play video games. So, I got to thinking about how I first got into gaming and one of my favorite games back them was ExciteBike. I know that I totally just dated myself with that reference, but it was a super fun game! I mean, who does not love a motocross racing game? Right? Right!

So yeah, thinking about the bike racing game got me all nostalgic and interested in that, but there is no freaking way that I can get into motocross racing because I am so freaking uncoordinated that it is almost funny. Basically, I would likely get hurt very badly if I tried to get into motocross. I'm surprised that I didn't get hurt now just thinking about it! But anyways, when I was looking up some info on motocross racing, I came across some stuff on people who get road bikes and just ride around on them with other people, like as a club. There are people who do this with mountain bikes too. So, I joing this scenic cycling group in my area, which is a mix of people who ride mountain bimes and road bikes.

And while this new hobby is fun, so much fun that I still haven't replaced that broken PS3, I still get an urge to game every so often. So, you know what I did? I looked for a site that offers ExciteBike for online playing! Yeah, I know that it is an old school game, but give it a try if you haven't played before and I bet you'll see that it is actually fun. I found it on the nintendo8.com website, so check that out if you have some spare time and want to play a fun old school game. Now that I'm talking about it, I think that I might have to go and play it again myself!

Those of you who enjoy my gaming updates are probably wondering what it going to happen to this site and what is up next for me. Well, I do plan on keeping the site, but I'm not yet sure if I will keep the topic on gaming or make it more of a personal blog type of site. But, feel free to check back on the site every so often to see what I'm up to as I'll post updates when I have something to say. But for now, I'm off to play ExciteBike online before I head out for a ride with my cycling club.
